First impressions: Thule 2013 racks and bags

If you’ve travelled anywhere by car with your bikes, sports equipment or even lots of holiday clothes, then the chances are you’ve heard of Thule.

A Swedish brand that first started in 1942, their name is a watchword for quality equipment that makes it easier to transport your kit.

They produce car roof-racks and boxes to hold bikes, skis, surfboards and luggage; design tow along child carriers; construct boxes for transporting winter sports equipment and bikes, and they also have a selection of extremely well thought out bags, panniers and racks.

One of the most recent additions to their arsenal is the new ‘Pack’n’Pedal’ system of racks and panniers. Designed to be easy to attach and remove, the rack can be used on a huge range of bikes, and there is a range of pannier bags and accessories to give you ample storage for anything from your daily commute to a week of two-wheeled adventure.

We’ll be putting each item through its paces; but to start off here are our first impressions of the kit to whet your appetite.
