Okay so don’t judge, when trying on Hincapie’s Power bib shorts for the first time, I may have inadvertently popped them on – the wrong way round. Easy to do, as they have a new buckle that fastens at the back rather than the front. Whoops!
You may think fastening bibs at the back may be troublesome, but with a thumb loop integrated into the clip it was incredibly easy. There’s no need to pull the neck opening of the strap over your head when answering nature’s call either. Just unclip, pull the back of the shorts down and away you go. When you need to do everything up, just grab the thumb loop down and clip the fastener together.
The small size sent through fits well, the panels around the torso come up quite high which is nice as it makes everything feel nice and contained. There are no silicone grippers on the inside, just the lycra material doubled up it feels tight enough but not restrictive and definitely no sausage leg to speak of.
In terms of the chamois, it’s the same as the one in the capris, so we’ll comment more on the pad once we’ve tested them.
