Next out of the post bag are Hincapie’s women’s Arenberg capri tights. These capris feel incredibly luxurious, with 4-way strech Super Robaix fabric used. It’s the same material used on the back panel of the Arenberg jacket. On the inside it’s got the ultra-soft fleecy lining, and on the outside, stretchy smooth lycra.

Hincapie say these capris are suitable for the ‘dedicated cyclist who doesn’t let cold weather stop them from riding’ and we think they’re right. They feel incredibly warm on, and the length means you’ll keep your knees nice and toasty.

In terms of fit, we were sent through a small to test. With a 19-inch inseam they cover 3/4 of our 5’4″ model. However, due to the stretch in the material, the capris feel quite loose, and in contrast to the jacket, we might suggest going down a size – as they feel as though they may work their way down. This will be tested fully in the in depth reviews, but worth noting here.

Because the fit isn’t tight, there doesn’t feel to be any compressive element to the capris. On the plus side, the waist band doesn’t dig in, feels supremely comfortable and doesn’t create a muffin top.

The chamois pad, feels as though it may just stop short at the front and although there’s a lot of it, the densest portions of the pad look to be a little on the small side. Again, this will be tested in the saddle properly.

Other features include a zippered back pocket to secure your valuables in, more of the HyperOptic Roubaix reflective treatment on the flat-lock seams and bands of Silicone on the leg hems.
