London to Brighton Return
London to Brighton Return
The British Heart Foundation London to Brighton ride is a huge event in the cycling calendar, but there’s no reason you can’t mosey on down South any other day of the year.
This route explores Surrey and Sussex, travelling right through the authors home patch so I can certify it’s a great ride.
5 Strava Tools You Need to Start Using
From London, you’ll pass through Redhill, Copthorne, Haywards Heath, Burgess HillĀ – and you’ll meet some meaty climbs along the way, including Ditchling Beacon just a few miles out from the seaside. The way back crossed through Warninglid, Newdigate, and Headley.
The full loop is 114 miles, with 7,769 feet of climbing – but there’s no reason you can’t opt for the ride-to-the-sea-side and train home option, halfing the mileage.
