Aviva Women’s Tour Stage Preview: Stage Three, Friday 19 June

Everything you need to know about Friday's race

Start: Oundle, Market Place

Finish: Kettering, Market Place

Total distance: 139km/86miles

This is the stage that will split the girls from the… girls who are good at climbing, which will be a welcome change to some after Stage One and Two’s sprinters delights.

Kicking off in Oudle, near Peterborough, there will be constant undulation and some tough climbs.

The first few km’s will be neutralised, before the hammer goes down through the ancient streets of Oudle towards King’s Cliffe.

Heading westerly, riders will pass Corby, Desborough, Naseby and Cottesbrooke on the way to Kettering.

Constant climbing means we should see groups splintering, but there’s a fast descent not far from the end, which could work in favour of a small breakaway, able to travel faster than a large peloton, or could see the groups merge.
