At 76 miles with just under 3,000 feet, this ride is a firm favourite amongst riders looking for safe, stable winter miles – when the roads are wet you don’t always want to be climbing up, over and down steep inclines or travelling tiny country lanes. This said, it’s a pleasure to ride in summer, too.
Starting with a saunter through Richmond Park (no going over 20mph now!), you’ll soon find yourself in Surrey, riding through Walton-on-Thames to Windsor.
There’s a little climbing up to Windsor Great Park after your coffee stop, and another little ramp up Broomfield Hill, before you loop back over the river to the city centre – check it out here.
