This epic 432 mile long distance Thames Valley Cycleway stretches from central London all the way west to Fishguard on the Welsh coast.
Starting in Greenwich, you can cycle all the way along the Thames to Putney Bridge from where you will start to leave the city lights behind you as you continue past Richmond Park and Windsor Great Park towards Reading, Bath and Bristol.
Any of these cities make for great stopping points and if your muscles are hurting by this stage, a well-deserved soak in the stunning roman baths in Bath is certainly in order.
From here the path continues on into Wales as you head towards the lure of the seaside until you arrive at the finishing point in the picturesque Pembrokeshire town of Fishguard, a world away from the hustle of the City.
