Leyburn has several popup caravan sites organised just for the Tour de France, and it’s a handy location. Get up early enough and you can cut across the top of the moors and catch the Tour as it passes through picturesque Aysgarth first, with its scenic river and falls, then nip back over and cheer them through Leyburn itself.

One site even has pitches literally either side of the route, so you don’t even need to venture far from your van!
