7. Pinnacle Gabbro 3, £750
Just over budget, we’ve thrown in Pinnacle’s top female specific road bike the Gabbro 3 at £750. It’s been designed for year round use, be it racing or winter training, and has the bolts and holes on the frame required for fitting full mudguards or a pannier rack.
The frame can accommodate larger 25c tyres, and 10-speed gearing comes courtesy of Shimano Tiagra. The contact points are female specific with narrower (40cm) shallow-drop handlebars, a women’s saddle and shorter cranks. We liked the retro design and striking bright red paint-job with white panel – a pleasant change!
