The Easter Epic, Worcester (MIXED)

In support of St Richard’s Hospice, participants can choose to cycle either the 52 mile or 83 mile routes up some of Worcester’s toughest climbs and down its quietest lanes. Organised by Just Ride, entrance for either of the routes costs £10 and a sports massage is available at the finishing line for an additional fee. Starting at Top Barn Activity Centre, the routes pass through Holt Heath, Malvern, Bromyard and Stourport.

Santini Cotswold Spring Classic, Cirencester (MIXED)

An enjoyable cycle sportive through the beautiful Cotswold countryside, the Santini Cotswold Spring Classic begins at Cirencester College. The 55km option is perfect for beginners and those embarking on their first big ride of the season whereas the 100km and 160km options are slightly more challenging. Participants don’t have to decide whether they will complete the 100km or the 160km route until they reach the split sign on the day so if you’re feeling like pushing yourself you can keep on riding that 60km further. Entrance costs £24.50.

Guide Dogs Tour of Berkshire Sportive, Reading (MIXED)

The Guide Dogs Tour of Berkshire Sportive features three different route lengths each with its own entrance price. The 41.5km fun ride costs £18 to join, the 84km classic route costs £22 and the 125km epic costs £26. The ride is designed to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and participants are encouraged to register for a fundraising pack too. Pedalling through traditional Berkshire villages, cyclists will be rewarded with stunning views over the countryside atop each of the short climbs.

RC Chestfield Coast 2 Coast Sportive, Kent (MIXED)

Beginning in Whitstable, participating cyclists will pedal 100km to Hythe and back to raise money for their chosen charity. The event is open for individual cyclists and groups of four to eight people. Run in accordance with British Cycling’s non-competitive event guidelines, the route will begin at the Rotary Club of Chestfield. Although registration doesn’t close until April, if 500 cyclists sign up before then it will close earlier so make sure you sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Igloo Sportive, Chesterfield (MIXED)

Featuring a brand new start venue and route for 2015, The Igloo Sportive follows two routes around the picturesque moors of the Eastern Peak District. Participants can choose between tackling the 65km route complete with 1350m of climbs, or the lengthier 130km with 2400m of climbs. Entrance for the shorter route is £22.50 and for the longer route it is £27.50 and views are guaranteed to be spectacular, as long as it doesn’t rain too much of course.

Lagan’s Foundation Remembrance Cycle Challenge, Bolton (MIXED)

Participants are encouraged to wear highly visible clothing to complete this 42 mile cycle ride through stunning South Lancashire countryside. The ride is expected to last between 2.5-5 hours and can be quite challenging in places. Children aged between 14-16 are permitted to take part so long as they are accompanied by a participating adult and tickets for any age cost £25. Stay hopeful to enjoy incredible views out to North Wales, Cheshire and across to Blackpool too.

Three Counties 100 Cyclosportive, Northampton (MIXED)

Cycle through Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland on one 100 mile bike ride. Beginning at the grand Holdenby House in Northampton, cyclists can opt to do a shorter 20 mile family ride or a 63 mile circuit if the full 100 miles seems too daunting. Entrance fees cost between £15 and £23 depending on which route you opt for but all entry fees are fully refundable if you raise a minimum of £100 (per person) for registered charity Meningitis Now.

Gran Fondo Conwy, Gwynedd (MIXED)

Beginning at the scenic Conwy Marina next to the classically beautiful Conwy Castle, the Gran Fondo offers cyclists the chance to embark on a challenging ride around both Conwy and Derbyshire. There are three course lengths available (40 miles, 75 miles, 103 miles) which vary in price from £31.99-£39.99. For those looking to enjoy a family day out, there is also a short six mile route perfect for all ages to enjoy and it’s free too.
