Introducing Japan’s Pedal-Powered Roller Coaster…

The pedal-powered roller coaster with the most spectacular view...

After discovering Japan’s secret underground bicycle parking the other week, we did not expect to discover something even more amusing from them…

The Skycycle, at Washuzan Highland theme park in Okayama, offers it’s visitors the perfect panorama view of Shimotsui-Seto Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea’s surrounding islands. Giving quite the romantic setting for you and a companion to sit back and enjoy, the ride itself doesn’t look to promising.

The side-by-side tandem pedal-powered carts offer visitors some basic seat belts, but no sign of anything to prevent them from falling four stories down to the ground from the open carts. They do however have some pretty pink baskets for decorative detail.

We’re all for taking in a good view on our bike and this bizarre ride definitely let’s visitors get the best holiday snaps.
