Top 10 Charity Bike Rides for 2014

Take on a charity bike ride challenge in 2014, and raise money for a good cause!

Take part in Scotlands biggest charity cycle ride, and raise money for the STV Appeal, which helps children affected by poverty in Scotland.

Whether you want a long sportive or a fun family ride, there’s something for you here. The classic route is the 47 mile Glasgow to Edinburgh, which attracts thousands of participants. Expect a mixture of quiet lanes, closed roads and cycle paths, plus refreshment stops every 10 miles, lunch at the gorgeous Linlithgow Palace, and entertainment and activities to celebrate your arrival in Edinburgh.

Want to get the whole family involved, or new to cycling? You can join the last 9 miles of the route, for a relaxed and fun ride.

Or if you fancy more of a challenge, there’s the 110mile sportive – detouring from the classic route, it’s chosen to cater to road cyclists perfectly, so expect smooth roads, stunning views and challenging climbs.
