We’re pleased to announce that Ghost haven’t cut any corners with the components on their 2014 MISS AMR 7500. There’s a full Shimano XT groupset including triple crankset, hydraulic brakes, both derailleurs and even the smaller parts that often get downgraded, such as bottom bracket, cassette and hubs. Forks are the reliable and tuneable Fox 32F CTD giving a balanced 120mm of travel too.
The full suspension mountain bike frame is as equally well designed, the FOX Float CTD has 120mm of tuneable suspension and the website blurb boasts a suspension design with a smooth and sensitive motion due to the position of the rocker and lower friction forces and the anti-squat technology. We have to agree that the four-bar linkage suspension design gives supple travel – it gobbles up stutter bumps well and can tackle bigger obstacles with ease, stability and control are high on its list of attributes too.
Other technical points on the frame include the tapered headtube, press-fit bottom bracket and hydroformed chunky tubing plus Ghost’s Specific Chainstay Length means that chainstays are specific to the size of the frame for a balanced ride. The wheels are standard 26 inch which Ghost prefer for their women specific bikes to allow for smaller frame sizes, and the Miss AMR 7500 is available in four sizes so everyone is happy 40/44/48/52 cm.
