12-22 June 2014, Edinburgh
Last year Edinburgh, the infamous city of festivals, saw the exciting launch of their newest entry, the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling. Expect to see arty attractions, from a Marco Pantani play reading to a pop up cinema, in the midst of 10 days of rides and races around the city.
The Lochs and Castle Cycling Tour (even the name itself sounds incredible) and the contest to see who can fold a Brompton bicycle up the quickest must not be missed.
There’s even a workshop for cyclists who would like to start practicing yoga. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, check out this: Yoga for cyclists, part 1: The Core. And if you’re new to cycling, pop into one of their bike mechanic workshops or immerse yourself in a leisure ride around the city’s traffic-free paths.
