Pulling the women’s cotton rain shorts out of their packing, it’s clear to see the level of design detail that has gone in to them. Beautiful neat stitching, Vulpine emblazoned buttons, neat subtle reflective detailing, darts and seams in all the right places – these guys don’t do anything by half!

The shape-holding “Epic Cotton” fabric is used again, which helps the shorts sit nicely it all the right places. You’re not left sitting on seams, gusset panels are included and cut to prevent any chafing or wear points.

Pockets can often be uncomfortable if situated in the wrong place on shorts, but this doesn’t feel like it will be an issue. We quickly tested the two main pockets and found that a mobile and keys stayed firmly in place, as the pockets are cut high. There’s even a small zipped pocket within a pocket on the left side, and a hidden key carabiner on the right.

Other cycle specific features include silicon waist gripper and high rear cut so you keep everything covered. In terms of leg length, I’m 5’4” so that will give you a good indication on where the shorts may come up to on your legs.
