Giro Rosa, 3 – 12 July
The Giro Rosa is in its 26th year, and the Italian race is arguably the most prestigious stage race in the women’s pro calendar – it’s certainly the longest.
10 Things You Need to Know About Drafting
The race lasts 10 days – made up of 9 stages, and one prologue. In 2014, the winner was Marianne Vos – who also took the top position in 2011 and 2012, and her team mates Pauline Ferrand-Prevot and Anna van der Breggan took second and third, making Rabo Liv the colours to beat.
The prologue and first stage this year will take place in Ljublijana, the capital of Slovenia.
