Also featuring in the UCI Road World Cup calendar, this one-day spring classic in Belgium will be a key event – with more cobbles and steep climbs to contend with.
The race was first held in 1998, alongside the men’s event, and the women race on the circuit, completing just one less lap which takes them to a total of 127km.
Last years winner was French cyclist Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, with Armistread in second, which gained her still more valuable UCI World Cup points.
Vos has the most wins in this Belgium classic, with a total of 5, but Britain’s own Emma Pooley has 3 first place positions to her name.
