Ronde van Vlaanderen, 5 April
Ronde Van Vlaanderen – otherwise known as the Tour of Flanders – is a one day classic that celebrates grit, determination and of course excellent handling on challenging terrain.
100 Great British Cycle Routes to Conquer in 2015
Cobbles, steep climbs, and often poor weather accompany the spring classics, and the victor of last years 140km race was Ellen van Dijk of Boels Dolmans. She worked with team mate Lizzie Armitstead who came in second.
The overall win will be a target for many, but as part of the World Cup Series, the leaders in the pro women’s peloton will be looking to gain points by placing highly in Belgium, too.
