Ladies Tour of Quatar, 3 – 6 February
This early season stage race will be in its seventh year in 2015, with 4 stages across the hot, flat plains of Western Asia.
Qatar is flat – and thus the winner is almost always a sprinter. The previous two years, the GC win has gone to Kirsten Wild, who also won in 2009 and 2010 – totalling four wins of six available chances. Wild also holds the most stage wins with a total of six, followed by Giorgia Bronzini, with three.
Beginner’s Guide to Road Pedals
It’ll be interesting to see if Wid can take her total wins to 5 this year, or is someone else might be able to take the top spot – Bronzini and Ellen Van Dijk are the other most recent winners, and ones to watch should they be in the start line this year.
