For those not keen to tackle bib tights in the cold weather, Sportful have developed the Dream Tight, also available as a 3/4 length ‘Knicker’. Reasonably priced at £75, the fleece ‘ThermoDrytex’ material feels as through it will keep us nice and toasty and well insulated.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the waistband feels in the test, as there is a thick band of elastic running through the material at the waist. Let’s hope it’s not so tight that we get gut ache or the dreaded muffin top.

The tight’s chamois pad feels incredibly light and spongy, although not too dense. This is the basic ‘Princess’ pad that Sportful offer. They do have an ‘Infinity’ pad included in the Lady WS tight, although they are over double the price. We’ll let you know how the Dream’s Princess pad fares when we put it through its paces.

Other thoughtful features include reflective detailing on the back of the legs, ankle camlock zippers and a line of silicone round the hem to keep the ankles in place. Just to note, there are no pockets on the rear of the tights. Our size 10 model was sent a small to test, and these fitted her 5’4″ frame well.
