We’ve been sent the Winter 2013 Long Sleeve W from the second to top range; Deluxe. The base layer boasts 2nd skin and Thermo Dynamic properties. In essence this means it fits like a glove, with minimal seams to help reduce bulk and wick sweat while keeping you warm.

Constructed from 85% Nylon Meryl Skinlife and 15% Polyester, the long sleeve base layer feels silky soft and incredibly stretchy. Inside there are no irritating labels, with the washing instructions included on the material of the hem.

With a 5cm collar, it’s going to be interesting to see whether we overheat in this high-necked base layer. Let’s hope the wicking properties are as effective as the literature suggests. It should definitely keep our kidneys warm, as the medium we’ve been sent is pretty long. From collar to the bottom of the hem at the rear, the base layer is 71cm (28 inches) long.
