Team GB’s Rio Kit has been Unveiled, and It’s Awesome

GB's team kit has been unvieled for the Rio 2016 games

It’s been a turbulent week for British Cycling with the surfacing of Shane Sutton’s sexism and discrimination allegations towards female athletes.

With his resignation still dominating the cycling headlines, it’s time for a more positive vibe as the new Team GB kit has been unveiled for the Rio 2016 games.

Designed by Stella McCartney and manufactured by Adidas, the new GB kit will be adorned by all Olympic and Paralympic athletes this year. Adidas have said the new cycling kit will be a lot lighter, allowing for more freedom of movement and greater speeds.

Looking bold and beautiful, the new design displays our nations strong coat of arms on a union jack background. A proud and optimistic look for Team GB.

The unveiling last night shows British athletes Lizzie Armitstead and Laura Trott amongst the many to showcase the new cycling kit which will predominately be a dark blue shorts, with white tops. While the track team will be in wearing navy GB skin-suits for the games.

With the Rio games just around the corner, we can’t wait to see these athletes in action this summer.

The full Team GB line up is expected to be announced in July.
