Nothing shouts ‘women specific bike’ when you first glance at the Lapierre Pro Race 100L women’s mountain bike. It has an understated black and white paint job without any pastel flashes or graphics. Like all the Lapierre “L-Series” bikes, they are designed with shorter top tubes, more compact frames and smaller sizes with a lower centre of gravity.
The components have been chosen to keep the overall weight down while also suiting female riders needs; note the ever popular Selle Italia X1 Lady saddle and Easton stem and bars in narrower 635mm width. It’s well priced too at £949.
