I loved the styling and practicality of the Madison Flo women’s long sleeve jersey the second I put it on.
The material is lovely and lightweight with great wicking properties. Features include a micro sunglasses cloth, a reasonable length neck zip, a side zipped pocket, vented pit areas and central back, and some nice subtle styling features. The fit can be described as loosely fitted.
I have to admit to wearing the Madison Flo Women’s Long Sleeve loads on off-road biking trips since getting it. It is long sleeved, which I have found really useful the last few weekends where we have had slightly changeable weather. It has protected me from nettles, brambles, insects, sun and rain. The material is lightweight providing protection from the elements while not overheating at all. In the odd rain showers I have been caught in it has dried quickly, and not felt clammy or clingy.
The sleeves are not too tight, so easy to push up above my forearms, whilst sitting nicely at my wrists when needed. The sleeves are also the perfect length for me, i.e. slightly long, sitting around the base of my thumb.
The Madison logo and styling is a nice lilac and turquoise, providing a slightly feminine touch without being too girly. The colour is highlighted in the zippers and pocket, so finishes it off nicely.
I love the sunglasses micro cloth, and is something I miss on tops without this feature especially on wet and dirty off road rides.
I have not made use of the side pocket. It’s a nice feature, but with a rucksack on is simply not used in my life. It is designed to fit an iPod or phone, so could be useful if that is important to you.
