Review: Troy Lee Skyline Shorts
The Troy Lee Ace Jersey is not what you’d expect from Troy Lee, for me it goes against their usual baggy downhill style jerseys. It’s a nice feminine fit which feels great whether your cruising down the road or flying down and xc trail.
The moisture wicking fabric and vented arms make this a great summer jersey and the bold bright lime colour makes it look the business for sunny summer rides. It’s a winner with me and will definitely be going with me on my riding holidays abroad!
The Troy Lee Ace jersey has features I’m not familiar thing in a trail jersey, a quarter zip at the front and 2 rear pockets. Both of which I love and wish more of my jerseys had, giving me easy access to energy gels or a camera in the rear pocket and extra air flow to cool you down on the hot rides.
The feminine fit comes from the multi panel design construction that works to move with the rider, due to this design there’s a lots of inner stitching to the jersey but non of which seemed to bother me.
I wore the jersey on my race practice at Afan and it was 29 degrees, the top was great and wicked the sweat away well!
Pros
Mesh sleeves to keep you cool
Rear pockets for stashing snacks
Feminine fit is a nice change for a trail/xc jersey
Bright bold colours
Cons
Delicate wash instructions hard to get the jersey clean
Not available to purchase in the UK yet. More information available from Troy Lee.
