Review: Dare2b Women’s Profile Cycle Mitt
The trousers are a lightweight soft textured material which are well designed and nicely fitted. I instantly liked the length (I have short legs) and these trousers with a 30” inside leg fit really nicely. The size 12 was true to fit for me as well, making for a comfortable piece of clothing.
The dare2b Alighted trouser have plenty of technical attributes including zipped thigh pockets, Velcro rear pockets, front pockets, a Velcro security pocket, belt loops and elastic waist and hem adjusters. Even considering all these features and pockets I did struggle to find a somewhere to store a house key while out, not wanting a bulky lump in my thigh and not trusting the Velcro closure security pocket for safe keeping in a fairly active cross country walk.
Luckily the first time I wore these was in one of our recent summer downpours, and noticed a satisfactory beading on the surface, no doubt as a result of the water repellent finish. The dare2b Alighted trouser feels like a lightweight cotton so this was a nice feature and great for the warm but changeable weather we are currently experiencing.
The trousers do have an articulated knee design but these do not feel like biking or high intensity activity trousers. They do come into their own as pre or post ride wear to load up bikes, low level hiking and popping into the cafe or pub for some post activity refreshments.
VerdictA great all weather trouser for off bike activity
ProGood fit with plenty of adjustment options
Slight waterproof coating in a lightweight fabric
ConNot practical for biking
