Celebrate New Year’s Eve like they do in the movies by watching the ball drop in Times Square – how much more romantic could December 31st get than that?
Seeing in the New Year in Times Square is a pretty pricey affair but certainly something everyone should experience at least once in their lives – especially if they’re a fan of the movieĀ New Year’s Eve. The official NYE family party pass costs $129 for under 21s and $199 for over 21s. The official NYE party pass (for couples and groups of friends) ranges between $249 and $299 and prices are likely to go up the closer we get to the big day so buy your tickets as soon as possible. The street party kicks of at 7pm and continues right through until 4am.
The following day it’s time to get on your bikes and take a cycle around the city to be one of the first people to see New York by daylight in 2015. Of course, Central Park is undeniably one of the best places to go for a bike ride in the city and makes for a perfect family ride.
Or for a longer route, try out the North and South Country Trail Ways. Starting from the Bronx you can cycle all the way to Carmel in Putnam County with only the tiniest bit of on-road cycling.
The Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, Prospect Park, Henry Hudson Drive and Staten Island are all home to great cycling routes too.
