This is a 21 mile route that begins at Scarborough and follows the path of an old railway, looping through open countryside, crossing steams, and exploring the expansive North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Gentle climbs reveal views of the North Sea, and you’ll be rewarded with descents which gives way to Robin Hood’s Bay, and further woodland.
The route also passes deep valleys and rocky beaches, eventually finishing at Whitby Harbour.
This is a ride suited to a hybrid, mountain bike or cyclocross bike, as some of the track bed has rough sections – though we’d dare you to try it on a roadie!
