Norfolk Coast: Wells and Holkham Circuit
Starting at the fishing port of Wells-next-the-Sea, this circular route takes riders to Holkham National Nature Reserve, then alongside the sandy Holkham Beach.
Over the 10 mile ride, you’ll pass the Pottery Yard and Shop, next to the Stables Restaurant, where there are secure bike racks if you want to stop for a tea and cake break.
Mums’ Corner: How to have a successful family ride
If wildlife is also on your radar, you can choose to extend the day with a boat trip from Blackeney Point, home to a colony of Grey Seals, or you can get your binoculars out at popular birdwatching site, Cley Marshes.
The ride covers private roads, public roads and paths – the surface is mostly clean tarmac, but some traffic-free paths are a little rough.
