The Beaches of Swansea and the Gower have 9 awards in total and Port Eynon Bay was voted the Best British Beach in 2011 – the area is stunning.
Sustrans’ 432 mile Route 4 path runs through Swansea, to form the 6 mile stretch called the Swansea Bike Path, which starts at Swansea Marina and finishes at the Mumbles. This is a traffic free route, on a tarmac surface which will be great for a family adventure.
Where to Ride: 3 Trails Not to Miss in North Wales
If you’d like to extend the ride to a 24 mile jaunt, you can continue on the Route 4, westward to Gowerton through Clyne Valley Country Park, on a woodland path, before joining the Millennium Coastal Path to Kidwelly.
