10 of the Most Breathtaking National Trust Bike Rides

Fun for all the family

Cycle across the wild Pennine Moorlands taking in spectacular views of heather strewn fields, rolling hills and fabulous peaks along the 16 mile Edale Valley cycle route.

This is an challenging mountain biking trail starting and ending in Barber Booth car park. The trail passes by Jacob’s Ladder and Edale Cross, continues along the River Sett and down the Pennine Brideway before ascending Rushup Edge and down into the Edale Valley. Many of the ascents are extremely steep -as are the descents- and the ground can be rough and rocky as it zig-zags around mountains and hills making for a tricky but rewarding ride.
