Sustrans 100 Mile Smile Ride (Suitable for all)
This event has already won us over with its cheery name! The 100 Mile Smile Ride is in fact a 106 mile route through Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire along quiet roads and scenic cycle routes.
Organised by Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity which runs the National Cycle Network of cycle paths, you can do as much or as little as you want, and join it at any point.
If you do want to ride in a group, there’ll be a meeting point at 8.30 near Dunstable, with a Dr Bike to sort out any last-minute bike niggles!

Evans Cycles One for the Girls Biggin Hill Weekend (Road Cycling and Mountain Biking)
Love mountain biking, more of a road cyclist, or do you love them both? If you want a crazy weekend you can do mountain biking on Saturday and a sportive on the Sunday with the Evans Cycles Ride It! events at Biggin Hill.
The events are fully supported and you can expect mechanic support, a broom wagon, a way-marked route and waterproof maps, feed stations and even the chance to test ride some Garmin GPS products.
Evans Cycles have also set up One for the Girls groups for the short and medium routes on both days. These women only groups, led by Evans Cycles female ride leaders, are the perfect introduction to the Ride It events.

Sky Ride Liverpool (Suitable for everyone!)
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Liverpool by bike, without having to worry about traffic. Sky Ride Liverpool gives you the chance to ride on a traffic free route around the centre of the city, and it’s the perfect outing for the whole family, plus you can see the professional cyclists set of on the iconic Tour of Britain race.
Davina McCall and Team GB cyclist Jess Varnis will be there, and there’s plenty to keep you busy as you ride around part of the Liverpool stage of the Tour of Britain. Expect bike cafes, events, activities and the new ‘tricks and tunes’ area.
No bike? No problem! Not only will there be free bikes to use at Sefton Park (first come, first served) but if you miss out on those grab one from the Liverpool cycle hire scheme and head on out.

Cyclo-Cross Irvine Beach (Cyclo-Cross)
It’s wet, muddy and incredibly friendly – cyclo-cross (CX) is one of the most fun and accessible racing formats. Perfect for getting out on the bike in the winter, you’ll meet a ton of great people, have a laugh and get a fitness boost. What’s not to love!
Head to Irvine Beach in Ayrshire, Scotland, for this CX race that’s bound to get your blood pumping.
