Total Women's Cycling

Daisy Chain bike events are 20, 30 and 40km women only mountain bike marathons in Mid Wales. The courses, venue and support are designed with the female mountain biker in mind.

John Lloyd Racing Events Ltd has been organising mountain bike events since 1999. They started Daisy Chain events with the aim of catering for women, the marathons are for both novice and experienced riders. Based in Fforest fields Campsite ladies can turn up and ride with likeminded people on a fully marked course.

The rides start at 11am with more confident people in the lead, and less experienced riders at the rear. The ride length is optional, and there is a food stop during the event as well as marshals on hand to help. On completion all riders will be greeted with a hot beverage, medal and certificate with their ride time. As well as a marathon, ladies have the chance to take part in a bike handling skill course on Saturday and Sunday morning as well as a basic mechanic course. There will also be activities for children to enjoy such as a bouncy castle, and all rides will be treated to a post ride massage.

Ladies over the age of 16 are invited to take part and all riders will receive an entry pack upon registering. There is camping available on site and entrants must arrange that directly with the campsite. Currently there is no bike storage, but pressure washers are available to wash bikes after the event.
