Being both cheap and practical, a cycle stand can be installed by bolting (or securing with concrete) a metal stand into a concrete surface and locking your bike onto the stand. They are convenient as they take up very little room. Beware though, this option leaves your bike very exposed to vandalism and bad weather conditions (you can purchase bike covers from £14.99 from Halfords).
