Spinach and chocolate don’t usually go hand in hand but surprisingly work so well together here. This one is quite a light, refreshing treat which is jam packed full of nutrients. If you’re looking for new ways to add protein to your diet this is a fun way to start out. If you are weary of the spinach taste, don’t worry, it adds no flavour at all!
Note: If you haven’t had protein powder before, the taste can take some time to getting used to, so keep that mind before you go wild on the protein powder!

Ingredients
- 2 cups of nonfat vanilla yoghurt
- 1 large banana
- 2 cups of spinach
- 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
Method:
Blend together the yoghurt, banana, spinach and protein powder until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a container and freeze for 3 hours, making sure to mix every half an hour with a spoon so that the mixture doesn’t freeze over and forms the frozen yoghurt texture.
The healthy bit:
Spinach is packed with protein, potassium, iron and calcium.
Bananas are high in energy and are one of our best sources of potassium, an essential mineral for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function.
One scoop of whey protein powder provides 22 grams of protein, a vital building block for bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.
