British Cycling has teamed up with the Biking Belles, Chichester and District Ladies Cycling club to host a women’s only charity cycle on Sunday 31 August 2014. The event which will take place at the famous Goodwood motor circuit promises to offer a fun day out for female cyclists of all abilities
The sportive event will cater for all abilities offering 35mile, 50mile and 70mile distances so it is perfect for those who are new to the world of cycling. The day will kick off at 8am with each route taking in a lap of the Goodwood circuit before heading off to the surrounding Sussex countryside.
From 10am onwards, the Goodwood will then be open to the general public (women over the age of 18) who will be given the opportunity to cycle in a safe environment. British Cycling will be on hand with lots of handy tip and training advice.
And then after all of that, there will be Elite Women’s races that will kick off at 2pm starting with the Lady March Grand Prix which is expected to be the highlight of the day.
All funds raised will go directly to Boot Out Breast Cancer who are a team of 10 determined women who raise money to buy much needed equipment for the treatment of breast cancer.
