The most converted jersey available is the ‘Aviva Yellow Jersey’ – this goes to the leader of the general classification – the rider with the fastest cumulative time. In 2014 the Yellow Jersey sat upon the shoulders of Marianne Vos by the end of the race.
The ‘Chain Reaction Cycles Points Jersey‘ goes to the rider who picks up the most sprint points. There will be two intermediate sprints during each stage, plus one at the finish, and each of the first 15 riders over the line will get points based on their position. The rider with most points will wear this jersey, which in 2014 also belonged to Marianne Vos.
For the fastest climber on tour, there’s the ‘Strava Queen of the Mountains Jersey’. Each of the stages will feature two points-grabbing climbs, and the first six riders will collect them – 6 for 1st, and so on. Last year’s holder was Sharon Laws, of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling.
We’ve got to remember our own, so the ‘Premier Inn Best British Rider’ will go to the highest ranked British Rider on the General Classification. Last year, that honour went to Lucy Garner.
Finally, the ‘Best Young Rider‘ will wear the white jersey to show that they are the leading racer under 23. Last year, this went to Rossella Ratto of Estado de Mexico Faren.
