One of the UK’s favourite sportive events – the Blenheim Palace Sportive – is set to take place on 17 August. The event, which rolls out from one of the UK’s most iconic stately homes, takes in stunning Cotswold countryside over a 60 or 100 mile route.
Riders on either of the two routes will enjoy a series of rolling climbs and although challenging they will suit a wide range of cyclists.
In addition to the main events, there will be a Family Fun Ride which will open at 10.30am and cost £11 per adult and just £6 per child. This price includes entry to the Palace Park and Gardens. You can spend the day roaming around the grounds, cycling around the spectacular lake and even make a pit stop for a picnic.
And if you think the kids are in need of a little extra help on the bike, then fear not, British Cycling will be on hand offering its Children’s Go Ride! sessions.
