It’s peak sportive season now and to further inspire you, the Tour de France is coming to town.

Enjoy some of the UKs best roads for cycling, while watching the worlds fastest road cyclists

Why not treat the family and visit one of the many festivals popping up along the route the professionals will ride? You can even join organised rides to cycle the route yourself.

1. Dare 2b Yorkshire Festival of Cycling: Friday July 4 to Sunday July 6

The Dare 2b Yorkshire Festival of Cycling will offer sportives for all abilities, a women-only Cycletta, criteriums, children’s events, mountain biking, duathlons and trail running.

2. Rapha Tempest Festival: Thursday July 3 to Sunday July 6

The Rapha Tempest is set to be a celebration of road cycling, where you’ll be able to partake in guided rides and racing, bespoke on-site camping, visual displays, music, food and drink, workshops, films and plenty of partying.

Named after the family who own the Broughton Hall Estate where the festival, will be hosted over four days, 3 – 6 July 2014 and tickets are on sale now.
