Although sportives pretty much shut down over the winter months, the situation has improved over recent years, with a few organisers extending their events right through the colder months.

The larger event organisers like Evans Cycles with their RideIt! series and Wiggle with their various events it’s nice to see the calendar for organised rides doesn’t shut down.

Here’s a nice little sportive to keep your legs ticking over, the Polocini ‘Winter Warmer’ which starts off from a cafe – perfect!
