Available in four colourways, the Sportful Allure Women’s Short Sleeve jersey is a lightweight cycle top constructed from ‘E-Lite’ multi-denier polyester fabric and ‘Konatto’ stretch material.
The body of the top, made of soft knit ‘E-Lite’ wicks sweat away from your skin and feels cool thanks to ultra small perforations in the fabric. Out on the bike, the top allows good airflow, and feels comfortable against the skin. It also dries very quickly, which I really appreciated when I stopped for a break in the middle of a hot ride.
The body of the top, being white and ultra thin was slightly see-through, but snap up one of the other colour ways and you that won’t be an issue. Or simply wear a white sports bra, and it’ll look just fine.
Konatto material on the shoulders is very soft and stretchy, allowing for plenty of movement, and cerise, white and orange stripes and contrast stitching look bright and cheerful.
The cut of the top is on the basic side – it’s a straight up and down jobbie without any much contouring or any extra panels, so although it didn’t fit me too badly,
It didn’t exactly wow me either. On the plus side, the size small that I tested didn’t have any baggy bits and it fitted well around the neck
A hidden zipper undoes to the middle of the jersey, and silicon gripper elastic does a good job of holding the jersey down.
Three rear pockets are useful for stowing your bits and bobs, although I would have liked a zipped pocket for putting my keys in.
Verdict: All in all, a reasonably priced jersey that does the job and feels nice to wear, even if the cut is a little ordinary.
