Made by an engineer it is perhaps not surprising that this is a ground up redesign of chamois cream. Unlike the other products in this test which are water based JBR  (which apparently stands for John BigRing) products have a wax base, to ensure that it’s not absorbed too quickly, and which provides longer lasting protection.

Used on a long mountain bike ride I was ecstatic to find this was the case! Again lavender, tea tree and peppermint oils are all part of this mix originally conceived in John’s mum’s kitchen. I felt this cream provided the best combination of long lasting friction relief and essential oils.
