The 20 year old World champion, Amalie Dideriksen, has had a phenomenal year of riding after scooping the win back in October that cemented her title. There have been some social media teasers surround Dideriksen’s new Specialized bike for 2017, and now we have the full picture, and boy is it a beauty.
The new one-of-a-kind Specialized Amira has been beautifully decorated to compliment the champion’s rainbow colours for the new race season. Making its debut at the Ladies Tour of Qatar, the Boels-Dolmans rider will be racing her new rainbow bike in all its glory.
“From a distance, it is cool and collected in all white, but up close it is wild and awesome. We’ve added holographic shards, reflecting thousands of rainbows, as a tribute to Amalie’s world championship win.” – Lauren Parenti, Specialized Women’s Lead Designer
The new custom finish has been carefully designed especially for Dideriksen who says: “I think it’s really cool to have a ‘one of a kind’ bike. I like that my name is painted directly on it, and that the world champion stripes are painted around the S-works logo on the frame. I love the glitter effects and the golden ‘S’ on the head tube.”
