Rather then binning your old cycling kit, or selling it online, why not donate it to the African Kit Appeal and see it go to help aspiring cyclists?
The online training platform for cyclists, ZWIFT, has been announced as the title sponsor for The Africa Kit Appeal which aims to collect and distribute performance wear to the children of Africa.
The charity organisation was founded by Team Dimension Data rider Matt Brammeier. Having ZWIFT come aboard will help facilitate in the export of cycling donations to Africa by covering import duties, and by spreading the word across their massive global network of riders.
“There’s too much good cycling kit lying unused in people’s homes. Let’s give it a new home, a new purpose in life and help inspire young cyclists to fulfil their potential.” – Eric Min, Zwift CEO
It doesn’t matter if you have caps, jerseys, shorts, bibs or even the odd helmet kicking around, everything and anything is welcome. So empty out those wardrobe and drawers, and bag up what you can and further help nourish the same cycling passion in future riders.
