A group of Latvian activists, associating themselves with the bicycle advocacy group Let’s Bike It, recently took to the streets of Riga in order to create a stark visual representation of just how much space is taken up by motorists.
The group constructed skeleton vehicles out of bamboo and cycled around the streets of Riga. They intended to show how space and energy-efficient cycling is. We’d love to take one of these skeleton vehicles around the streets of a UK town to see how long before someone clipped our wing-mirror!
