It was a tough decision, but after counting up the votes and with a lot of deliberation, we are excited to announce the winning design of the Pactimo and Total Women’s Cycling Design-a-Jersey Competition.
Although there were some brilliant designs that made it through to the final 10, and everyone on the judging panel had their own favourites, one design really stood out.
The winning design is Sakura Spin, designed by Alicia Mickes!
“I took this beautiful photo of cherry blossoms in Seattle, WA during Spring-time. Spring is an important time of year to the people who live in Seattle, because the weather finally allows us to get outside and enjoy a ride. So I titled this “Sakura Spin”, because Sakura means cherry blossoms in Japanese.”
Alicia will win a full Pactimo cycling outfit pictured above, including a jersey in her Sakura Spin design.
The Pactimo designers and Total Women’s Cycling team loved it because it incorporated the creative and unusual use of a digital print, the colours of Total Women’s Cycling, and was colourful, distinctive, different and beautiful.
“We are always looking for a unique perspective and approach to the aesthetic of a jersey design. This design’s approach to floral pattern-like image with a bold, yet soft color palette really grabbed our attention” said Josh Cook, Retail Brand Manager of Pactimo.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who entered – it was a pleasure seeing your designs!
