If your padded pants and chamois cream combo aren’t enough to keep you comfortable throughout your ride, then fear not because the new ShockStop Seatpost could be the missing element of the comfort trinity.
Developed by Redshift Sports in the US, the new ShockStop Suspension Seatpost is set to make waves (well, smooth them out) in cycling. Created by the same team who brought you the ShockStop Stem, their latest creation is now available to pre-order through Kickstarter.
Having taken the bumps out of your ride at the front of your bike with their stem, Redshift Sports have been working away tirelessly on the rear of the bike to further improve cyclist’s comfort;
“The ShockStop Seatpost suspends the rider’s body, isolating them from the imperfections of the road and trail. Travel and suspension kinematics were optimized to provide a plush, bottomless feel. Riders can adjust the spring rate and preload to suit their specific riding style and terrain. By integrating elements of the suspension into the post itself, the ShockStop achieves a compact and lightweight design that mates well with all styles of bicycle.”
