Fancy a fun mountain bike challenge this autumn? The Red Bull Fox Hunt gives you the chance to ride with the one and only World Champion Rachel Atherton, in a weekend of mountain biking festivities.
Entry is now open, so get yourself signed up!
What is the Red Bull Fox Hunt?
The Red Bull Fox Hunt is actually a pretty simple and fun concept.
The idea is that Rachel is the Fox and the rest of the riders are the Hunters. But the tables are turned for this Fox Hunt: the Fox chases the Hunters. The Hunters head off first down the hill in a mass start, then the Fox follows after, attempting to pass as many Hunters as she can on the way down.
It’s more of an event than a race, and it’s a great opportunity not only to see Rachel in action up close but also up your bike handling skills. We know it’ll be an experience like no other.
The bargain entry fee of £5 goes directly to the Wings For Life Charity, a spinal cord injury research foundation. Then another measly £10 gets you a camping spot.
What else is on?
Of course, with so many great women together in one place, it would be a shame not to have a bit of a party, so there’ll be camping available over the weekend.
The festival vibe continues with live music from local bands, a BBQ, a Fish and Chip stall, and a camp bonfire. On the bike side of things there’ll be an on-site mechanic, a physio and a bike cleaning service to meet all your riding needs.

It sounds like Rachel has a fun weekend planned for everyone who enters, and we’re definitely going to be there! We love the idea of hanging out with a World Champion and chatting around a campfire, soaking up the festival atmosphere.
How good at mountain biking do I have to be?
The course is an open hillside, and you need to be competent on Red level trails to tackle it. We’ll have loads more info coming to the site soon on what it’s like, what you can expect to encounter when you are riding it, plus plenty of hints and tips from Rachel herself.
If you have any questions about the event, pop them in the comments at the end of the article and we’ll try and get an answer for you.
In the meantime, get entering!
