MTB Event: Women’s Strength Training for Mountain Bikers

You gotta be strong if you wanna be tough, on the trails...

We know that being a good rider requires a lot more than just many hours in the saddle. To achieve your pedalling goals and progress your riding, you have to consider your diet and your training plan both on and off the bike.

Mountain biking is a dynamic sport. Your body needs to be strong enough to take the bumps, hold a good stance, and be able to quickly manoeuvre your weight around the bike to get yourself down the trail in one piece.

While there are plenty of strength training guides, and nutritional tips on the internet to give you some idea of where to begin, it’s always best to get information (and the right information) first hand. Fortunately, there’s a place that can help.

The MTB Strength Factory is dedicated to mountain bikers looking to progress their skills through conditioning and training. They work with you on the best exercises to compliment your riding, and help you work on the areas that need it most.

They run a variety of coaching classes at their site in Bristol, but their next women’s-only class is on Saturday January 28th. The 4.5 hr workshop will cover the basics in warming-up, mobility drills, strength and core training with head coach Ben Plenge.

This workshop is ideal to get yourself off to a flying start for your year of cycling, and really attack your MTB goals. For more information, and to book onto this workshop, head over to the booking website here.
