Listed as a holiday for solo travelers, this 5 day tour snakes from Newcastle to Edinburgh, taking in beautiful natural scenery and cultural heritage along the way.

Much of the riding is on National Cycle Network traffic-free paths, with quiet country lanes featuring too.

You’ll be on the bike four days in a row, riding 70 – 96km, but the terrain is mostly flat, with some undulation, though the final day throws up some climbs at the Moorfoot Hills. Riders travel in small groups, though you’ll have maps so you can split off, and the tour leader follows in a car.

You’ll explore wild coastal landscapes, forests, castles and abbeys, as well as vibrant cities at the start and end points.

The trip costs £405, staying at standard and basic hotels, with breakfast only included.
